Brewery Pirlot  is a Belgian brewery Zandhoven in Antwerp.

History

Mid 80s Guy Pirlot began his hobby in the kitchen of the missus. A big pot of 10 liters and a thermometer were my main tools. A nice, sturdy blonde was his goal. The Tripel flowing repeatedly from the brew kettle was repeatedly scanners by friends and acquaintances and weighed and each time followed by a new, custom brew. Meanwhile happened this miraculous change of water, malt and hops BEER in a slightly larger system: a self converted copper boiler of 50 liters.

The brewer was increasingly by his environment beaten ears with statements in the course of time as “gosh, it must do more ge” or “why sell ge the divine stuff out” or even “why start ge no brewery” …. Eventually she managed to convince him to let you taste the beer also by a larger audience. In 1998 the necessary papers were in order and …

was born a new hobby commercial brewery.

Soon it was the capacity of the homemade kettle of 50 liters inadequate and forced by the success, the brewer drew many a Saturday morning to Wetteren to brew in the installation of André Paeleman. This, too, the time was not feasible and the entire production relocated to the Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi. We are now in 2001 was a little more difficult to put the next step towards a full-fledged brewery.

A location was finally found in 2007 in the Heistraat in Zandhoven. To use the old farm and brewery had to be made first RUP. After three years of administrative burden was the approval then finally obtained in 2010. Meanwhile, there was also a bank willing to join in the financing of such a highly capital intensive activity. The necessary contracts were signed and the renovation of the old farm and the construction of the new area could begin in the spring of 2011 so that the first beer poured from the brewing kettles in September.
