Brewery Urthel  (formerly The brewery Leyerth) is a Belgian brewery Ruiselede in the province of West Flanders.

History

Hildegard (Odette) Overmeire graduated as an industrial engineer specializing in brewing. After several years teaching and other jobs for breweries she began in 2000 to brew their own beer, along with her husband Bas van Ostaden, which includes a drawer and allows the labels drawings. Around the beer they fantasize Erthel legends. Since 2007 Urthel beers brewed at the brewery Koningshoeven in Berkel-Enschot (known La Trappe).

In February 2011 a micro brewery was bought and installed so that from July 2011 was no more talk of Beer Company Brewery De Leyerth but microbrewery Urthel. The MBS 150 Microbrewery was designed by the Italian firm Spadoni and a brew kettle of 150 liters.

The three basic beers brewed stay at La Trappe and microbrewery is used to experiment with new beers.
