Support Friends of Trees Through HUB’s Community Tap! Posted on February 14, 2018

We love this world of ours. Our Community Tap program is one way that we model sustainability as a business. Each month we partner with like-minded, local, nonprofit organizations that we admire and respect. We donate 1% of all of our pub’s pint sale proceeds to that month’s partner organization. For the month of February, we’re sending those proceeds to Friends of Trees, a nationally recognized, regional leader in improving the urban tree canopy and restoring sensitive natural areas.

Friends of Trees plants tens of thousands of trees and native shrubs throughout Western Oregon and Southwest Washington with thousands of volunteers every year. Trees cool our planet, clean our air and water, provide habitat and food, and trees actually make us healthy! And when planted the Friends of Trees way, trees also grow community.

Friends of Trees is a nationally recognized, regional leader in improving the urban tree canopy and restoring sensitive natural areas—through programs delivered by thousands of volunteers. From the edge of the Columbia Gorge to the farmlands of Hillsboro, and up and down the Willamette Valley, Friends of Trees plants urban street trees and native seedlings and shrubs through volunteer tree-planting events that take place almost every Saturday from October through April. Since their founding Friends of Trees has planted 700,000+ trees and native plants with in 120+ neighborhoods in six counties across two states.

From the edge of the Columbia Gorge to the farmlands of Hillsboro, and up and down the Willamette Valley, Friends of Trees plants urban street trees and native seedlings and shrubs through volunteer tree-planting events that take place almost every Saturday from October through April. And beer helps make this happen! Come in to any of our pubs through the month of February and raise a pint to Friends of Trees!
