Beers Made By Walking invites brewers to get outside on a hike and make beer inspired by the plants we identify. A month ago the Forest Park Conservancy led us into the impassible wilderness of our beautiful in-city park and we identified nearly 20 different plants.
We have participated in BMBW many times over the years and have used salal berries, licorice fern, vanilla leaf and a variety of other native plants as a result.
On June 27, we will toast to forest park with a special beer inspired by the park. We foraged woodruff and created a Woodruff Berliner Weisse. We’re sending the proceeds of the beer back to the Forest Park Conservancy. Join us at 6pm if you’d like to hang out with the HUB crew and raise a pint to the FPC!
