On April 6, we’re all Scottish.
Tartan Day is a celebration of Scottish heritage held every year on April 6. It’s a day that we invite all true Scotsmen—and everyone who just appreciates kilts, golf, whiskey, and bagpipes—to honor Scotland in the most appropriate way possible: by drinking Kilt Lifter, our award-winning Scottish Ale.
This year, we’re commemorating Tartan Day two ways.
We’ll kick things off with the Kilt Chaser 5K.Modeled after the Skirt Chaser fun runs of yore, the Kilt Chaser is a race with a few twists. Twist one: Instead of all racers starting the run at the same time, the ladies get a three-minute head start. Twist two: All runners—boys and girls—race while wearing kilts.

Later in the day, we’re taking fans on the Kilt Crawl, a good old-fashioned bar crawl from our 8th Street pub to Old Town Scottsdale, with Kilt Lifter—and actual kilts—flowing all along the way.
Tickets are $20 and include shuttle rides, bar covers, and pours of Kilt Lifter at each stop. (Anyone who competes in the Kilt Chaser 5K that morning will get a code for $5 off.) Shuttles will take crawlers from pub to pub while bagpipers regale them with the sounds of Scotland. All attendees are highly encouraged to wear kilts, sporrans, and other Scottish garb during the crawl. More info here.
