April 1, 2019 Good Time delivers big hop aromas and an uncompromising craft beer experience in a lower-alcohol I.P.A.
Beau’s Brewing Co. is launching a new year-round brand in early April, designed with the India Pale Ale lover in mind: Good Time session I.P.A. Good Time goes low on the alcohol (4% ABV), but still delivers refreshing hops aromas and an uncompromising craft beer experience.
“It’s funny, the first thing we said when we started working on the Good Time recipe was, let’s make a session I.P.A. that doesn’t taste like a session I.P.A.,” explains Beau’s co-founder Steve Beauchesne. “It sounds odd, but really what we were saying was if it tastes like canned hop water, that’s not going to fly. We took a long time bringing this beer to market because we wanted to get that part just right, and we’re really proud of it.”
Good Time is certified organic, brewed with Nelson Sauvin and Centennial hops. Its approachable profile evokes gooseberries, pineapple, white wine, citrus, pine and a hint of funk. The recipe adds wheat and oats to barley malts to create a fuller mouthfeel than might otherwise be expected from a light ale. It is very versatile as a food pairing, from game-day treats like beer nuts and corn dogs, to after-sports snacks like wings or poutine.
Good Time will be available in single 473 ml tall cans, as well as one of four beers included in the upcoming Beau’s Summer Mix. It will be available to retailers across Canada, with an in-store date in Ontario LCBOs of April 4, and a release in Québec set for May.
