Here at Tröegs, we have a soft spot in our hearts for all our furry, four-legged friends. With that in mind, we’re excited to launch “PALs with your Pal,” a partnership with the Pennsylvania SPCA (PSPCA) established to help raise awareness for pet adoption across our home state of Pennsylvania.
Each week throughout the months of September and October, we’ll feature an adoptable pet from the PSPCA in need of rescue. Since we want each and every one of these sweet pups to find a forever home, we’ve committed to cover all the up-front costs associated with the adoption of each featured pet!
“Our family has been a big supporter of dog rescues for many years,” says our brewmaster and co-founding brother John Trogner. “The goal is to help the PSPCA find homes for some of its sweetest senior dogs who just need a second chance.”
So… what exactly is a PAL? Good question! “Pal” isn’t just a playful term of endearment for your faithful furry sidekick; it’s also an acronym for our newest year-round beer, Pennsylvania Lager aka PA Lager.
Taking cues from those easy-drinking lagers brewed during the pre-Prohibition era, PA Lager is a crisp, thirst-quenching beer that promises to deliver a smile with every sip. And it’s been delivering A LOT of smiles upon its release last year… so many so that it’s become our second best-selling beer behind Perpetual IPA.
“Animals come into our shelter every day looking for a fresh start,” says Gillian Kocher, PSPCA’s Director of Public Relations. “Since Pennsylvania has one of the largest adoption rates in the country, we’re grateful for Tröegs’ support in helping some of our loveable senior pets find their forever homes.”
“It’s the ideal beer to enjoy while sitting on the porch and spending some quality time with your pal,” adds Trogner.
