Augrenoise
brasserie Augrenoise is a Belgian craft microbrewery in Casteau (Soignies).
History
The brewery was founded in 2001 in a building at the Home Saint-Alfred and integration project for disabled adults in the home. Once a month it is brewed according to traditional methods of beer. The brewing plant was composed of stainless steel boilers from an industrial dairy. The lower tanks were recovered from the experimental microbrewery from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. The brewery’s name comes from the town Augrenée, where the brewery is located. A group of volunteers (Les Saugrenus called) take into the brewery running.
The beers are mainly available locally, but also in the wider region.
