Maenhout

In late 2009, Thijs Maenhout and Birgit The Rammelaere started the brewery in the former premises of the factory broth Gerdox between Meulebeke and Tielt. We started with a 2nd hand brewing plant having a capacity of 5 hl. Bottling and labeling was done entirely by hand, bottle by bottle.

In 2014 we put the step to expand and automate. The brewhouse in Meulebeke did not have sufficient capacity, which is why we have decided to move. The new building is located in Pittem, along the Brugsesteenweg.

Beginning in 2015, the new brewery was hired. It has a capacity of 1,200 hectoliters per year. It was also invested in a bottling line back pressure which makes it possible to fill AF 2000 bottles per hour, and ensures a good quality. Moreover, we also have a test system with a capacity of 60 liters. This new beers are developed and there is also room for one-time, seasonal beers.
