Hanssens lambic Experimental Raspberry
Ale fermented with raspberries and matured in oak barrels
No pop whatsoever from the cork, and the pour wields no head either. Clear as a good Pils with a light, reddish-brown color. Smell is best described as plastic raspberries soaked in vinegar. Additional aromas of band-aids, paint, and general chemical-likeness. Taste is all vinegar with the raspberries and oak lurking underneath. Acidic to the point of drowning out the depth and character generally associated with the style.
