De Lelie
Brewery De Lelie is an association whose goal is to bring to the attention of the same old beer brewery in the center of Vosselaar.
History
The brewery was founded in 1907 by Florimond De Jongh. The brewery was located in the center of Vosselaar, the Cingel next to the church. In 1922 Jan Dresselaers brewery Lily took over. This happened with the financial support of his father. That is why we in the older labels under the name “Lily” the initials “D & W” or “Dresselaers and Wouters’ read. Later son René succeeded his father. There quality high fermentation beers were brewed which Pope and Father were known. Eventually put stop production in 1952. In 2008, spurred on by the association Brewery De Lelie the Pope Beer revived.
