Donum Ignis

Donum Ignis is a Belgian artisanal microbrewery located in Sinaai in Sint-Niklaas in the province of East Flanders.

History

Brewer Geert Vertenten teaches mathematics and chemistry at the St. Therese College Eksaarde. In response to the demand of his students during the practical chemistry brewing beer he began to delve into the brewing. What first started as a hobby – brewing ten times 40 liters a year – grew in April 2010 to an official brewery of 400 liters per brew.
