Gigi
The brewery was started as Brasserie de l’étoile in 1842 by the LEPINOY family. After the bankruptcy of the former owner of the buildings were bought in 1888 by Louis Gigi, a German engineer who began production of a table beer was supplied in the area in wooden barrels. In 1906 Oscar and Eugene followed their father. In 1919, Eugene left for Aubange where he re-launched the old brewery Bernard. In 1948 Oscar left the brewery to his son Eugène Joseph who died in 1997 and in turn was succeeded by his three sons. Gigi took the beers on the disappeared brasserie Maire.
