Nieuwhuys
Brewery Nieuwhuys is a Belgian brewery in Hoegaarden in the province of Flemish Brabant.
History
Since 2001 Dewachter Jan and Mieke De Backer run the Nieuwhuys Brewery in Hoegaarden. On the ground floor a brewing plant was placed with a brew kettle of 300 liters and 5 fermentation and lagering tanks. From 2002, here tapped their first beer Alpaïde. In September 2009 a new brewing plant was put into operation with a capacity of 200 hectoliters per year. At the official opening the Huardis wheat beer was launched in the presence of Pierre Celis and Jean Blaute.
