303: MASTER GUIDE TO 100+ DENVER PATIOS

July 3, 2018 “Here in Denver, there is no shortage of concrete paradises for the people to hang out and relax in the sun. Every neighborhood has a multitude of patios, big and small, quiet and bustling.

We’ve rounded up a pretty good list of patios, organized into categories. It’s insane how many there are. Whether you want to work on your laptop with a coffee, take a long lunch break or go out on the town — there’s a patio(s) for that.

Let us know if we’re leaving any out, and we will add it on….

Breweries & Wineries *Banded Oak Brewing 470 Broadway, Denver; Neighborhood: Speer Vibe: This patio is just off of the main Broadway drag. Small, no frills, chill brewery. Bring your dog and order a beer at the window. Ten beers on tap, two mystery beers and kombucha which is free for DD’s.

*Bigsby’s Folly 3563 Wazee St., Denver; Neighborhood: RiNo

Vibe: Urban winery with a killer patio next to a flower and grape garden, settled by the railroad tracks on Wazee Street. Of course, there is wine but we have to mention the food menu — antipasto, appetizers, flatbreads and homemade desserts.

*Black Shirt Brewing 3719 Walnut St., Denver; Neighborhood: RiNo

Vibe: The name Black Shirt comes from the idea of ‘going against the grain’ and ‘standing out in the crowd,’ and their beer does. Johnny Cash said black shirts were his ‘symbol of rebellion.’ A small front patio and a large back patio which regularly hosts live music. Aside from beer, they serve pizzas and salads named after Johnny Cash songs.

The Block Distilling Co. 2990 Larimer St., Denver; Neighborhood: RiNo
