Our O.G. Ten FIDY Imperial Stout got a one-way golden ticket to the inside of a barrel, where it went ass-over-elbows into a Cholaca chocolate river and then hotbox’d with Hotbox Roasters’ coldbrew until it manifested as a smooth mocha mutha – Bourbon Barrel-Aged Mocha Ten FIDY. We’re releasing a very limited amount of this rare liquid on July 7, (World Chocolate Day) at the Oskar Blues Boulder, Longmont, and Brevard Taproom locations.
THE BEER Bourbon Barrel Aged Ten FIDY was massively doused with unsweetened pure liquid cacao made by our friends at Cholaca, then dosed with Hotbox Roasters’ cold brew from Mexican coffee beans. Get it in a grande, a venti, or a trenta… just kidding, put it straight in yer mouthhole. “Ten FIDY Imperial Stout doesn’t know how to use its inside voice in the first place; and on this one, we hooked it up to a Cholaca-and-coffee amplifier and turned the volume up to 11,” said Tim Matthews, Head of Brewing Operations for Oskar Blues. THE DEETS BA Mocha Ten FIDY will be available in Oskar Blues Longmont, Boulder, and Brevard taprooms only. Numbered wristbands will be handed out at 9:30am but a line may begin to form much earlier. Wristbands will allow you to (reasonably) wander without losing your place in line. Each wristband has a number on it, and yes that number does matter. Beer will be sold in order according to the number system so you must be present when your number is called. You can purchase up to five cases of BA Mocha Ten FIDY. 19.2 oz cans come in 12-count cases. If there are cans left at 3pm (both MST and EST), a “No Limit” rule kicks in and you’ll be able to purchase to your heart’s content. At that hour on a Saturday, of course there will be breakfast food available; and the coffee isn’t just in the beer – Hotbox Roasters will be on the scene to satisfy yer wake-up needs. We’ll have samples of Cholaca to taste on site too. All sales (draft and cans) will begin at 10am. A limited amount of BA Mocha Ten FIDY will be on draft, 10 ounces at a time.
