Barn Burner Series – Small Batch Beers in August
Every first Thursday of the month, limited release brews are blazin’ straight out of the Lyons, CO pilot brew barn. Stop into one of our taprooms – Boulder, Longmont, or Brevard and try something rare. Sip ’em at the bar, or grab a Crowler to go. This month’s release events are goin’ down August 2. Details on the beers:
Juicy/Not Hazy IPA 6.9% ABV: Picture your nose bouncing off a spring-loaded diving board and doing a perfectly executed cannonball into a pool of spicy orange zest surrounded by a field of fresh hops. Everyone applauds as the massive splash of tropical Enigma, citrusy Galaxy, floral Cryo Mosaic and fruity Cryo Citra generated by your nose-dive douses nearby sunbathers in super dank hop-orange refreshment. Water wings not included.
Bwahahaha Eldorado, 7.5% ABV: We schemed up this Single Hop IPA and liked it so much that we use a rotating hop to maniacally mess with it. This month’s Bwahahaha plot centers around Eldorado hops, which infuse huge aromatics and flavors of tropical fruit, pear, watermelon and stone fruit. Warning: this perfectly balanced liquid plan to take over the world may elicit villainous laughter. Bwahahaha!
Interstate SMaSH Citra, 6.9% ABV: A double dry-hopped, heavily Citra-infused SMaSH (stands for “single malt and single hop”) named after our CO house band and pretty cool dudes, Interstate Stash Express. This SMaSH lineup features Root Shoot Pale malt on bass guitar. Meanwhile, Citra rips on lead guitar with spotlight-grabbing tropical, mango, and pineapple power chords. Set to the rhythm of a first wort hop addition, then a second whirlpool addition PLUS two dry-hoppin’s during fermentation; this SMaSH puts on an epic flavor show.
