Barn Burner Series – Small Batch Beers in June

Barn Burner Series – Small Batch Beers in June

Every first Thursday of the month, limited release brews are blazin’ straight out of the Lyons, CO pilot brew barn. Stop into one of our taprooms – Boulder, Longmont, or Brevard and try something rare. Sip ’em at the bar, or grab a Crowler to go. This month’s release events are goin’ down June 7 starting at 5pm.

Details on the beers:

NOOICE! 5.6% ABV This dry-hopped farmhouse ale will make ya say NOOICE! Like an accomplished carny, French Saison yeast deftly juggles citrusy Galaxy hops, spicy Southern Passion and herbal Loral. The yeast dries the beer nicely and the result is a glass of tropical papaya, pineapple and mango flavors with a zesty finish.

All CO Apricot Wheat 5.1% ABV What if apricot cobbler came in refreshing beer form? Resist the urge to set your pint glass on a breezy windowsill as you sip this wheat beer. Made from all Colorado-grown ingredients, this balanced brew uses woody, fruity Crystal hops from Gunnison River Farms and Antero wheat from Arnusch Farms. Then, it gets a big dose of Western slope apricot at the end of fermentation for poppin’ apricot aroma and flavor.

Check Yo’Self Golden Double IPA, 8.1% ABV HBC 682 sounds like a vacuum model, or a robotic Star Wars character, but it’s actually an herbal, spicy experimental hop varietal used alongside Simcoe, Mosaic, Amarillo and Pacifica in this Golden Double IPA. Paired with a malt bill of CaraMalt, wheat, dextrin and rye (for malt depth without darkening the color), the result is a big, bright juicy DIPA that’s approachable at 8.1%. This beer was originally a collaboration with brewers from Perrin Brewing, Periodic Brewing, and Headlands Brewing Co; and we liked it so much we brought it back.

All CO Pale Ale 5.4% ABV A traditional pale ale brewed exclusively with ingredients from our state of origin – Colorado. We used malts from Troubadour and Root Shoot Malting in Northern Colorado and Nugget hops from Highwire Hops. Nugget hits the brew with zesty citrus notes; then the brew hits your pallet with clean, herbal IPA goodness.

Note: All CO Pale Ale will not be available at the Brevard Taproom
