Hop Life Brewing679 NW Enterprise Dr. Ste. 101, Port St. Lucie, FL 34986
(772) 249-5055Port St. Lucie is part of Florida’s close-knit Treasure Coast community. Hop Life has been a favorite since it opened in 2007. It’s locally owned and operated, but also a veteran and first responder owned and operated. Check out Hop Life’s calendar of events. They’re always supporting fellow Treasure Coast businesses and hosting fundraisers for the community.
Hop Life stays on top of the latest craft brewing trends as they constantly strive to create the best possible beer from the best possible ingredients. It seems only natural to sample one of their tropical-ish best sellers, a fruity blonde ale with hints of guava and pineapple… hello, beach beer. Ask for their signature brew Gotta Go, but just know that you’re actually going to be staying for at least two more rounds.
Side Door Brewing1419 Village Green Dr., Port St. Lucie, FL
(772) 249-0065We appreciate beers served up with a little history, and Side Door does not disappoint. They opened on December 5, 2015- the same day in time that the prohibition was repealed. The name Side Door comes from the speakeasy bars of the 1930s, where customers entered through an unmarked… side door. Clever, right?
Don’t even think about leaving Side Door through the side door, or any other door, without tasting their Key Lime Light. Hello, Florida, in a beer. There’s no kitchen at Side Door, but patrons are encouraged to order food from local restaurants to enjoy. Key Lime Light is a lovely complement to any fresh Florida seafood.
Breweries Near Port St. LucieIf you’re in the mood for adventure, you can drive a short distance to any of Port St. Lucie’s neighboring towns in Florida’s Treasure Coast and check out one of their local breweries. Any one of these coastal community breweries comes with a beautiful backdrop and equally amazing brews.
Sailfish Brewing Company130 N. 2nd St., Fort Pierce, FL
(772) 577-4382Hop in your car and head north to visit Sailfish Brewing Company, Fort Pierce’s first craft brewery. These local brewers first started creating recipes in their garage and used feedback from local festivals to grow their brands and perfect their products. They now operate out of a 20,000-square-foot facility with a 540-barrel capacity- that’s a LOT of beer.
Sailfish has quite a menu of unique brews featuring local Florida citrus flavors, but the Lionfish is one that will challenge your taste buds in the absolute best way possible. Lionfish is a pale ale made with lime, jalapeño, and cilantro. It’s a blend of tangy and spicy that you’ll crave long after you leave Florida.
Islamorada Brewery and Distillery3200 St Lucie Blvd., Fort Pierce, FL 34946
(772) 882-4155Another short drive beyond Port St. Lucie’s city limits will bring you to Islamorada Brewery and Distillery. This journey is well worth the gas- it fully captures the beach life that the Treasure Coast is known for. And honestly, is there anything better than sipping beer under a palm tree?
To really embrace the tropical vibes, try Islamorada’s No Wake Zone, a blonde ale with subtle and smooth key lime and coconut flavors. It’s a tropical brew that pairs nicely with sunshine and steel drums. Islamorada hosts lots of fun events, like Sandbar Sunday, so be sure to check their website and events calendar before you go.
Ocean Republic Brewing1630 SE Federal Hwy., Stuart, FL 34994
(772) 600-5596Stuart is a laid-back community less than 15 miles from Port St. Lucie, a quick, easy, and scenic 20-minute drive. The locals here take great pride in caring for their beaches and the ocean life. Ocean Republic Brewery is the spot locals love for great beer, delicious food, and good old-fashioned Florida fun.
Wu-Tang Dreamsicle is a brilliant combo of Florida citrus and rich Madagascar vanilla with a hint of pineapple mixed in; it’s both a beer and an experience all in one. Try this with any of Ocean Republic’s beerzas- a pizza made from beer-infused dough, and you’ll leave here happy and full.
