Brasserie Jean Tout Seul is a Belgian company located in the village of Bois-de-Lessines, part of the commune of Lessines in the province of Hainaut. It produces a single craft beer: the Deceiver.

History

The Jean Tout Seul brewery, a name that makes you smile and raises many questions … Know that Jean Tout Seul has existed but that he was not brewer. Her grand-niece, Marielle Coenjaerts, became her. The Deceiver is one of the few Belgian beers to be brewed by a woman. The brewery takes its name from the history of the house in which its installations are located. The last occupant of the ancient dwelling before Marielle settled there was the great-uncle of the latter. He was named Jean and the family tradition was inexhaustible on the original and offbeat side of this ancestor. In talking with the village elders, she learned more. In particular, because of his lonely and frankly acaritic nature, he was nicknamed “Jean Tout Seul”. The patronymic immediately attracted him, as was the idea of keeping a link with the site on which the brewery was going to see day. The micro-brewery, founded in 2009, a judicious mixture of craftsmanship and modernity, is part of the breweries of Wallonia Picardy. It is not about big production but rather about friendliness and shared pleasure. The vagaries of life dissolved the founding team, Marielle taking over the head of the company. Since 2012, the artist Xavier Parmentier, now associated with the adventure, has allowed to give a new breath to this mini-company by putting synergies with other know-how such as gastronomy or art under All its forms.

The brewery starts with an amber beer exclusively based on malts and carefully selected hops, without spices or aromatics, which makes it possible to find the taste of a natural product but nevertheless subtle nose and palate.
