Barley Days Brewery
Barley Days is an Canadian brewery from Picton, Ontario.
Barley Days Brewery takes its name from the county’s economic boom during the 1800s; the key crop to grow at the time was barley, which was shipped across Lake Ontario to Oswego, New York for the American Brewing industry. It was so lucrative that some farmers were able to pay off their mortgages in a single season. The ‘Barley Days’ era came to an end in 1890, when the United States put unreasonably high tariffs on Canadian grain. Barley Days Brewery has been open since 2007, and is proud to be the oldest Brewery in Prince Edward County. We continue to brew craft beers to the highest degree of excellence.
