Big Island’s first sour beer ‘Jabba da Sour’is named for the Big Island-grown jaboticaba fruit that was added during fermentation with a distinct nod to the notable Star Wars character. This session-worthy rosy brew, colored by the skin of the jaboticaba, is refreshing and tart with aromas that hint of plums and cabernet grapes. The thirst-quenching sourness comes from both the fruit (grown at Blue Dragon Farm) and natural lactic acidity derived from a special mashing process. To quote the great galactic Jabba “You will soon learn to appreciate me”!
