History
De Snoek is the only fully preserved brewery from the 19th century in Flanders, Wallonia and French Flanders. In unadulterated glory she immerses you in hot coke fires and puffing gas engines under stirring vats of steaming, boiling brew kettles, tipsy cool baking and fermenting gijlkuipen. Meet brewers and brewer collect, servants and maids, …. and with the front soldiers during the First World War between two concoctions ever promoted by a tank or boiler to bathtub. And finally, there is always some brew to quench thirst in the museum inn.
