DETAILS

It’s time again for our quarterly Comedy Showcase! Join us for a night of drinks and laughs!!! Heather Jay: A ten-year comedy professional that has opened for Aziz Ansari, Amy Schumer, Jamie Kennedy and Jeff Ross, and most recently Hannibal Buress, Heather Jay’s style is versatile and can appeal to men and women from all walks of life. She knows how to read her audience and adapt her content accordingly. Part intellect, part mom and a little residual party girl, her topics range from the socially conscious to the ridiculous. Her festival work includes LaughFest, Funny or Die and recently she had the privilege of performing in the cities of Bethlehem and Jerusalem as part of her first international comedy festival, 1001 Laughs. She has the rare distinction of performing comedy at the world famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY. She’s also performed at The Comedy Store, The Hollywood Improv and Laugh Factory on Sunset Blvd. When she isn’t performing, she enjoys building opportunities for others. Recently, she produced her very first industry showcase for TruTV. She is the published author of the Chelsea French novels, a crime/comedy series based out of her hometown of Detroit. She’s also been privileged to see two of her screenplays make it to film. Adam Degi:  Adam Degi isn’t just another straight white male comedian. He’s bald, and his talent and joke writing separates him from the pack. He won the Funniest Person in Grand Rapids Competition in 2009 and was in the Semi – Finals of the Comedy 10K in 2014 as well as being featured on the cover of Revue magazine. He Was in the Boston Comedy Festival in 2016 and just released his debut comedy album His Name Is My Name Too in September of 2017.

His strangely endearing personality and ability to riff, rant and improvise sets him apart and makes every show unique. With an unapologetic, outspoken, unfiltered, and often unscripted act it’s difficult to tell when he’s telling a well written joke or just getting something off his chest. Adam Degi is anything but predictable and when he has a microphone in his hand you never know what might happen, he might even sing A cappella, so grab a seat and pay attention!

Josh Adams:

Winner of BET’s Apollo Live, Funniest Person In Grand Rapids, Devils Cup competition and the MidWest Fest. Also seen on Fox’s Laughs and Dish-nation

Zach Martina:

Thus far, life has exceeded the expectations of Zach Martina. He certainly never thought some stranger would be reading to find out more about him but here we are. Anyway, here’s what you need to know – He loves his wife, his daughters are his inspiration, and his hair is real. Also worth noting, he’s not angry, he’s just passionate about the inane topics he chooses to ponder. HE’S NOT SCREAMING; HE’S JUST MAKING SURE YOU HEAR HIM!!! Zach brings his big energy to crowds across America delivering dark jokes in a delightful manner while pointing the finger of blame at everyone except himself. His debut album Skunkman released on iTunes and flew to near the top of the comedy charts. He’s been of the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival, the Limestone Comedy Festival & San Francisco Sketchfest in addition to being featured as part of the Best of the Midwest at Gilda’s Laughfest. He’s worked with the likes of Kyle Kinane, Big Jay Oakerson, Sean Patton and regularly tours with Rory Scovel & Artie Lange. He hopes you like him – because if you like him then maybe more people will like him and those closest to him will stop calling comedy a “hobby”.
