Barn Burner Series – Small Batch Beers in May

Barn Burner Series – Small Batch Beers in May

Every first Thursday of the month, specialty brews are blazin’ straight out of the Lyons, CO pilot brew barn. Stop into one of our taprooms – Boulder, Longmont, or Brevard and try something rare. Sip ’em at the bar, or grab a Crowler to go. This month’s release events are goin’ down May 3 starting at 5pm.

Details on the beers:

Little Richard Session Pale Ale, 4.5% ABV – Oh Rudy, this bangin’ pale ale is straight outta the 1990’s. A straight crushable pale ale with piney and citrus notes and a caramel backbone, Little Richard is the shiznit. Bop bop a-lu a whop bam boo!

Concept IPA, 7% ABV – We paired a tried-and-true malt bill with an ALL-STAR cast of hops – Bravo and Enigma co-star alongside Simcoe, Mosaic and Eldorado, with a show-stopping cameo by Azacca. The result is a massive, juicy, unfiltered hop blockbuster featuring citrus zest and white wine flavors with notes of sticky fruit, pineapple and papaya.

Bwahahaha Callista, 7.5% ABV – We continually fiddle around with this Single Hop IPA using a rotating hop selection because it’s one of our favorites. This month’s Bwahahaha features Callista hops. Callista is a newer hop varietal from Germany that boasts honeysuckle, peach, orange and citrus flavors with a spicy undertone.

Interstate SMaSH Enigma, 6.9% ABV – A double dry-hopped, heavily Enigma-infused SMaSH (stands for “single malt and single hop”) named after our favorite local CO rock band, Interstate Stash Express. Root Shoot Pale malt plays nice with a LArGE amount of Enigma, the newest hop varietal from Australia. Enigma shows off with flashy notes of raspberry pinot gris and mandarin orange in this month’s ISE. We use a first wort hop addition, then a second whirlpool addition PLUS two dry-hoppin’s during fermentation.
