Beau’s 2018 Winter Mix & champagne-style New Lang Syne here for the holidays

Beau’s 2018 Winter Mix & champagne-style New Lang Syne here for the holidays November 8, 2018 Beau’s Brewing Co. has two creative holiday offerings teed up for the 2018 festive season: celebratory champagne-style beer New Lang Syne, and a new rendition of the Beau’s Winter Mix Pack that includes three beers never before featured in the mix.

New Lang Syne 2018 is true to past years’ recipe, a Belgian-style tripel that has been aging since the spring in a variety of wine barrels. It is carbonated with champagne yeast to sparking effervescence, and presented in a 750 ml champagne-style bottle, complete with cork and cage. Though it can be shared on any occasion, it is particularly well suited to celebrations and is a perfect beer-lovers’ answer to what to enjoy for New Year’s Eve.

The 2018 Winter Mix is a sampler of four 600 ml bottles that includes Beau’s popular flagship ale Lug Tread, along with three other styles to suit the season. Included are Zwickel German-style auburn lager (Gold medal winner at the 2018 Canadian Brewing Awards), Jänis sahti (a Finnish-style juniper ale), and Channel Ocho, a Mexican-spiced dark ale brewed with organic chipotle peppers, spices and cocoa.

Thursday Nov. 8 is the official release date for New Lang Syne in the Beau’s Tap Room in Vankleek Hill, ON, and for home delivery in Ottawa through BYBO.ca, it will be Thurs. Nov. 15 for the Beau’s Winter Mix. Both releases will be available now through January 2019 in Ontario and Québec craft beer retailers, as well as craft-friendly restaurants and pubs in those provinces.
