The final short film in our four-part documentary series focuses on our 2016 shift to employee ownership at Beau’s. Our co-founder and CEO, Steve Beauchesne, explains the thought process behind selling a portion of the family-run independent brewery to its employees through an employee share ownership plan, commonly known as ESOP.
Lastly, we hear from B Lab’s Joyce Sou. In 2016 B Lab honoured Beau’s with a #BuiltToLast Award, recognizing the ESOP as an innovative and sustainable way to ensure that the values the brewery was founded on will continue on, under the stewardship of its employee owners.
