Beau’s Tom Green Beer back to classic edition for winter ’19

December 27, 2018 Beau’s Brewing Co. is bringing back The Tom Green Beer! Milk Stout for a winter engagement in 2019. This sessionable, flavourful and robust stout is the classic first version in Beau’s rotating selection of milk stout recipes, which also includes a blonde Tom Green Summer milk stout, and a Tom Green cherry milk stout for autumn. Fans of the classic milk stout beer style (and Beau’s version of it) will appreciate the return of the original award-winning recipe for the winter season.

Its aroma is a complex array of roasted malt character featuring notes of espresso and chocolate. Roasted elements also dominate the flavour, giving way to subtleties like slightly burnt caramel, and hints of nuts. The strength of both the flavour and aroma is contrasted by an approachable mouthfeel. The initial dryness of the beer is subdued by a gentle flourish of increased body and sweetness in the finish.

The collection of beers sprang from a friendship between Beau’s co-founder, Steve Beauchesne, and the famed Canadian actor and comedian Tom Green. The milk stout style riffs on Tom’s early days as a comedian and his pranks with cows and milk. The Tom Green Beer was introduced by Beau’s in 2013, and the different renditions have been brewed continuous since.

The Tom Green Beer will be available in Ontario and Québec for winter, with an on-shelf date of Jan. 3. It will be sold in Beau’s 600 ml brown glass bottles and will also be available on tap at select pubs and restaurants. Beau’s Tom Green Summer Stout will be making a return in spring 2019.
