Brewer’s Spotlight: Splitter

It’s no secret there is a lot of attention on hazy and intense IPAs and DIPAs in the craft beer scene these days. They’ve attracted millions of new consumers to the industry and have turned family owned and operated breweries into industry powerhouses. Four Seam and Six Seam have played a huge part in expanding our customer base and we are proud of that. Six Seam has even helped us make a little noise on the Beeradvocate rating charts (#29 for Top Rated American Imperial IPA). Through our work, we want to continue to build upon what we know and enjoy about brewing these beers. With that in mind, to join the rotation with our powerhouse Six Seam, we are proud to introduce our newest New England Double IPA, Splitter!

We built this beer high on a big base blend of American pilsner and pale, with Malted Red Wheat and flaked oats to support the body and table sugar to beef it up even higher to a whopping 8.4% abv. This big beer is hit with heavy amounts of Cashmere, Simcoe and Apollo. When used the right way, these three together can deliver massive aromas of ripe melon, mango and papaya with a matching flavor profile and a resinously sticky finish leaving those delicious hop flavors to linger on the palate until that next sip brings it all back again. For those that love to punish their palate, or if you want to wash down a big juicy cheeseburger out on your patio, you’re not going to want to miss this one. We’re canning it up fresh on Wednesday and will be available when our doors open for the day! Cheers!
