HomeCanada’s Premium Beer
We are encouraging you to ask the question, “What is Canada’s Premium Beer?” and to help you consider it, we have outlined the reasons we think we are a natural fit.
We’re not saying we are Canada’s premium beer, that position lives in the hearts and minds of Canadian beer drinkers. What we are saying is that becoming this nation’s most respected premium beer has been our dream since day one. After 20 years of being focused on that goal, we can’t think of another beer that is closer to it. We are encouraging you to ask the question, “What is Canada’s Premium Beer?” and to help you consider it, we have outlined the reasons we think we are a natural fit.
Canada’s Green(est) Bottle
The style and sophistication of a green bottle European import, but brewed fresh right here in Canada. Our bottle doesn’t just look great, it is made with 30% more glass meaning it can be re-used up to three times longer than the industry standard brown bottle. A pry off cap provides a superior seal, ensuring your beer tastes as fresh as the day it left the Roundhouse.
Unlike many of the so-called “premium” beers, we brew using only pure spring water, malted barley, hops and yeast. No corn syrup, no foam enhancers, no artificial preservatives, just high-quality ingredients the way a Pilsner is supposed to be made.
Consistency You Can Count On
We have spent 20 years perfecting our Pilsner recipe and we back that experience up with one of the most sophisticated Quality Assurance programs in Canada. When you reach for a Steam Whistle, you can have confidence you are getting an exceptional product every time.
A Truly Canadian Success Story
What started as a fireside dream hatched by “The Three Fired Guys” has turned into one of Canada’s most successful breweries. We still retain our entrepreneurial spirit, remain fiercely independent and truly Canadian.
The Good Beer Folks
The Steam Whistle staff are known affectionately as The Good Beer Folks, and they’re the heart and soul of the Steam Whistle experience. So, whether you visit us at our home at The Roundhouse or take part in one of hundreds of community events sponsored by us, we hope to greet you with a smile and raise a hearty “cheers” with you.
