Lake of the Woods Brewing Company is a locally owned and operated company located in a repurposed historic fire hall in downtown Kenora.  This includes a Brewhouse, Taproom & Eatery, Retail Store, Online Shop, and Commercial Sales – all under one roof.  Just down the lake in Keewatin, is Broken Paddle Coffee Roastery & Kitchen.  We brew craft beer and craft coffee!  Brewco is a meeting place, with a very local flavor 8 months of the year and the other 4 months (May-August), it is bursting at the seams with both local and visitor patrons alike.

We are in search of a Coffee, and Goods Sales position for the NWO region to learn and help grow with a young and dynamic company. Coffee and Goods Sales position is a full time permanent position and will report to the Sales Manager.  Salary will be commensurate with experience plus commission.  Targets for the Inn and Coffee to start and as the company grows wholesale products target will be set.  Opportunity for 15,000-20,000 commission for Inn sales alone.

The ideal candidate will assist with the day to day sales of Brewers Inn rooms, Broken Paddle Coffee Roastery & Kitchen coffee, whole sale products manufactured by Lake of the Woods Brewing Company and any other needs of the Sales Team at Lake of the Woods Brewing Company.  If you are energetic, a self-starter and enthusiastic about craft beer and craft coffee this might be the ideal opportunity for you!

Job Roles and Responsibilities

Brewers Inn

Increase occupancy levels in Brewers Inn year round
Create partnerships with companies to create group rates
Promote Brewers Inn as a premier accommodation in Kenora, Ontario
Coffee and Wholesale Product Sales

Increase coffee sales and wholesale product sales through our online website
Reach out to restaurants and cafes in NWO to serve our coffee/products
Reach out to grocery stores, gift shops and other venues to sell our coffee/products
Ensure commercial sales locations are merchandised with fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating, and removing out-of-date products.
Assist with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing.
Identify opportunities
Develop interesting new ways to engage with public
Merchandiser participates in local events including Sponsored events, Festivals and on-premise partner events
Works directly with sales advocates to engage the public
Social media
What you will bring to this role?

Minimum 2-3 years in a direct sales role
Previous merchandising experience would be considered an asset
Position has opportunity to work remotely outside of Kenora
Occasional regional travel
Evening and weekend availability required
High energy, positive personality
Proven ability to build strong working relationships.
Strong communications skills, team player attitude, and task-oriented.
