Cool News: Four Peaks 8th Street Is Now Air-Conditioned

If you’ve visited Four Peaks 8th Street in the summer, you know that the pub has a tendency to get a little, shall we say, toasty. Though the historic building we call home was originally built as an ice factory, 1890s engineering still leaves something to be desired when it comes to temperature control.

That’s why we’re happy to announce that we recently installed four industrial AC units atop 8th Street, and that as you read this sentence these magnificent machines are pumping delightfully frigid air throughout the building. The cool air should make life happier for our brewers, bartenders, servers and cooks—and, obviously, for the hundreds of customers who visit 8th Street each day.

The addition of the AC units is just one of several improvements Four Peaks 8th Street will undergo this summer. The barrel room expansion we announced in May is now complete, and the space is on its way to being filled with new foeders and bourbon casks. Another project set to begin in August will give the inside of the pub a facelift, dramatically increasing space and creating opportunities for us to host live music and killer events. We look forward to sharing more details about that particular undertaking in the near future.

In the meantime, we’ll keep the beer cold, the food hot and the air comfortable. Come cool off with us.
