DUVEL

Duvel is a natural beer with a subtle bitterness, a refined flavour and a distinctive hop character. The unique brewing process, which takes about 90 days, guarantees a pure character, delicate effervescence and a pleasant sweet taste of alcohol.

A Duvel is still seen as the reference among more full-bodied lagers. Its bouquet is lively and tickles the nose with an element of citrus which even tends towards grapefruit thanks to the use of only the highest-quality hop varieties. This is also reflected in the flavour, which is beautifully balanced with a hint of spiciness. Thanks to its high CO2 content, this beer has a wonderful roundness in the mouth. A Duvel is both the perfect thirst quencher and the ideal aperitif.

DUVEL TRIPEL HOP SELECTION 2015

Duvel Tripel Hop is brewed with three hop varieties and each year the third hop is changed to provide its own unique taste and aroma. This keeps the final flavor profile surprisingly exciting for any true beer lover.

Thanks to the third additional hop variety EQUINOX, our 2015 selection is characterized with the aroma of grapefruit, lemon and a hint of fresh green pepper. Equinox hops are added again during ‘dry-hopping’, extracting additional hop aromas into the beer. The higher aromatic intensity rounds out the beer, backing the final alcohol content of 9.5%.

DE KONINCK – WILD JO

Our brewers steered clear of the well-trodden path of conventional yeasts and got to work with wild varieties. The result? Pure rock ‘n’ roll in a bottle! Wild Jo is untameable. On the contrary, the beer continues to evolve in the bottle as time goes by, getting wilder and wilder.

The “Wild” naturally refers to the wild yeasts used to ferment it. But what about “Jo”? That’s our way of paying homage to Joseph van den Bogaert, the spiffing chap whose own lust for adventure ensured the survival of the brewery after WWI.
