On 9 February of this year, the second official Gulden Draak Bierhuis was opened in Porto by the 6th-generation brewer Jef Versele.
Gulden Draak Bierhuis is a total experiential concept for Gulden Draak enthusiasts and, by extension, for the devotees of all the Van Steenberge speciality beers.
Inside this unique establishment, you are completely immersed in the Gulden Draak atmosphere—the Gulden Draak taps, the exclusive ageing cabinets, the murals on the walls, the specially adapted lighting and glassware, … And, the ‘Gulden Draak around the World’ wall is a real eye-catcher. It shows in which countries (more than 65!) Gulden Draak is currently being sold. In the Gulden Draak Bierhuis, you will find yourself at the crossroads between the history and the future of our Brewery in Ertvelde. In the Gulden Draak Bierhuis, you can taste our 6 generations of brewing passion in your glass.
The goal of Van Steenberge Brewery is to open at least 3 new locations every year. Currently, negotiations are ongoing for Rome, Singapore, Hong Kong, Argentina and the United States. At the end of 2016, the first Gulden Draak Bierhuis in Prague celebrated its 1st birthday.
