(254) 669-1031Killeen’s first microbrewery, Iron Gauntlet Brauhaus, opened its doors during the COVID-19 pandemic in November 2020. Founder and army veteran Laura Brown fell in love with the European-style beers when she and her ex-husband were stationed in Germany. When they returned to the USA, they started brewing at home. This hobby quickly turned into a passion, and when Laura got the opportunity to buy a location to open her own brewery, she went for it.

She knew it would be difficult, but Laura was up for the challenge. With the help of the local community, who have always supported veterans and their business ventures, Iron Gauntlet Brauhaus became a town favorite.

Don’t be fooled by its modest appearance and simple decor. This brewery is great for hanging out with friends and family on those warm Texas evenings. There is plenty of space with indoor and outdoor seating, and you can bring your four-legged friends along too. Iron Gauntlet is pet friendly and regularly hosts adoption nights to help find forever homes for pets without one.

You will find all kinds of entertainment, from themed nights like trivia night to various indoor and outdoor games, so you and your gang will stay busy for hours. If you’re feeling peckish after all the fun and games, no worries. While this brewery doesn’t have a kitchen on-site, you will find a food truck you can enjoy inside or out every night.

They go the extra mile for their customers and will treat you like family. The staff is friendly and helpful and will even give you an impromptu tour of their brewing equipment. Food trucks are outside daily, so you will always find something new to eat.
