The Best Breweries In Peoria, AZ

Are you looking for some great places to go out and drink beer? If you live in Peoria or the greater Phoenix area, you should check out these local breweries and brew pubs. They make delicious food and craft beer at reasonable prices.

The three local craft breweries we are going to look at in this article are:

  • Throne Brewing Company
  • Richter Aleworks
  • Peoria Artisan Brewery & Gastropub

Here is a short description of each brewery, along with a beer that we think you should try.

Throne Brewing Company9299 W Olive Ave #513, Peoria, AZ 85345
(623) 322-1534Throne Brewing Company is a brewery located in a strip mall on the south side of Peoria. It was established in 2018 by Carlos Toma, who had 10+ years of running a craft beer store in Downtown Phenix. He bought Dubina Brewing which was an existing brewery in Glendale, and turned it into Throne Brewing.

Throne Brewing has the main focus of producing a wide variety of craft beers for beer enthusiasts to enjoy while also providing a welcoming atmosphere.

We recommend trying their beloved Maple Strong Ale, a beer that is made with organic, grade-A amber maple syrup. It comes in at 9.5% ABV and 28 IBUs.

Richter Aleworks8279 W Lake Pleasant Pkwy #109, Peoria, AZ 85382
(602) 908-6553Richter Aleworks is a small brewery located in downtown Peoria off of Lake Pleasant Pkwy. It was opened in late 2016 by Brandon and April Richter after having trouble finding a name due to trademark issues. The couple wanted to bring back the tradition of craft beer making in America. They offer high-quality, handcrafted ales that are made from fresh ingredients, as well as some incredibly popular hard seltzers.

Richter Aleworks has a 7-bbl brewhouse with a kettle built by Bennett Forgeworks in Colorado and a mash tun from the legendary Tom Hennessy (of Frankenbrew fame) built for his brewery, Colorado Boy in Ridgeway, CO. They currently have 13 tap handles of amazing beer to taste.

We would recommend trying their Blasphemi cold IPA if you love hops or their High-Risk Behavior Kolsch if you are looking for something less bitter and more drinkable.

Peoria Artisan Brewery & Gastropub10144 W Lake Pleasant Pkwy #1130, Peoria, AZ 85382
(623) 572-2816Peoria Artisan Beer & Wine Bar is another artisanal microbrewery located in downtown Peoria off of Lake Pleasant Parkway. The local Peoria owners, Matthew and Kristina Frosch, opened the gastropub in 2015. They decided to open a restaurant because they wanted to provide customers with interesting house-brewed fermented creations and fresh, New American pub food cuisine from Chef Michael Mahalick

They have a 5-bbl brewhouse, a patio, and 20+ craft beer taps.

We recommend trying their award-winning Third Sabbath Belgian Tripel. It is brewed in the traditional Belgian style to showcase an elegant yeast character with a beautiful golden hue.
