December 10, 2014 admin We are getting very exited! Lots of great things are going on at the brewery right now that will be coming your way soon, and we wanted to give you a heads up so you can plan accordingly!
2014 is coming to a close, and we are getting close to wrapping up our first year as a brewery!! Super exciting! In an effort to wind down this year and ramp up 2015 we are beginning to do several small batch bottle releases, most of which will only be available at our brewery, and a handful that will have very limited availability throughout Boise. Our first release will be an imperial saison brewed with 2 different saison strains, finished with champagne yeast, and bottle conditioned with champagne yeast. This incredible beer is called Bonne Année and clocks in at 8.5% abv. Dry, delicious, and effervescent, Bonne Année (French for Happy New Year!) is brewed as a celebratory drink to ring in the new year. There will only be around 50 bottles available for purchase ($9)!
This will be the first of many small batch bottlings, with exciting things coming soon like an imperial stout, the 2015 vintage of Cozy Up (brewed with cocoa nibs this year, along with two separate small batch bottlings aged in different spirits), our top secret 1 Year Anniversary beer, and a small batch bottling of Hi Five! DIPA.
In the next few weeks you will start seeing City of Trees IPA and Moondog Amber 22 oz bombers popping up on store shelves around the valley. If you pop in somewhere and they don’t have them, be sure to ask them to carry us, and we will get ’em out there. We will also be introducing a new year round offering starting in January, so stay tuned for that.
This week we will be smoking malt over local cherrywood, and making our own dark candi syrup, for an upcoming bottle release of Beast Moans imperial stout. (Beast Moans is the title of a fantastic album by the band Swan Lake) Wax dipped bombers of Beast Moans should start making appearances in early January, along with two small batch variants (cherry-vanilla and aged on rum soaked oak chips).
Nearly one year ago we released our first seasonal brew, Invincible Summer– a strong, English-style ale. Well, the long wait is over; Invincible Summer is coming back in two weeks!! This is an exciting an momentous time for us, as our first ever seasonal is now coming back around! This will be on tap first in our tasting room and then will find its way out into the market. Invincible Summer will be out and available until mid February, so enjoy it while it lasts!
