Wigle, Tröegs team up on Pennsylvania Peach whiskey

Here at Tröegs, this is what collaboration is all about. Finding fellow family-owned Pennsylvania makers and working together to create a great new taste.

Pennsylvania Peach is our first collaboration with Pittsburgh’s Wigle Whiskey, and it’s all about peaches.

It starts with Wigle’s made-from-scratch whiskey distilled from regionally grown organic wheat grain. For four years, the folks at Wigle aged the whiskey in new charred oak barrels, then transferred it to barrels that once housed our Freaky Peach Pennsylvania Sour Ale. Finally, the whiskey was steeped with fresh peaches and apricots.

With notes of peach, mango, brown sugar and allspice, Pennsylvania Peach is a sweet way to sip through the rest of our Pennsylvania summer.

“The folks at Wigle are super-nice,” says Tröegs brother John Trogner. “I like their creative culture. And they’re a family-owned business making great-tasting stuff from Pennsylvania ingredients. Can’t get much better than that. This collaboration also gave us a chance to use some grain from the Western end of the state, which was new for Tröegs. Sinking those PA roots even deeper.”

To celebrate this partnership, we’re donating $1 from each bottle to Feeding Pennsylvania‘s win-win mission of connecting food-insecure Pennsylvanians with surplus from local farms.

Order for Pittsburgh pickup here, or get it shipped to your PA or DC home. Available Thurs/July 29!

And stay tuned for details on a celebration here at Tröegs on Thurs/Sept. 2.
